New York-based underwear retailer Journelle Inc. which has hired Victoria's Secret design alum Rania Abu-Eid as senior malibu web design, overseeing plans to launch the company's first private-label collection for the 2014 holiday season.
"Building a private label grouping has been a goal of mine when the founding of Journelle, and I am thankful for incredibly excited to devote creative and therefore financial resources to launch this new erguido, and to have Rania join us, in Journelle founder and Chief Executive Formelle Chambers said in a statement.
Abu-Eid spent almost eight years for Victoria's Secret first on the view team them moved to designing abdominals collections, and eventually working under the vp of design to launch and make the brand's high-end designer selection sold exclusively in flagship vendors.
"I was ready to embrace a whole challenge, and have been a long-time admirer of Journelle – of the vendors and the brand itself, ” Abu-Eid said. “ The opportunity to step into an evergrowing boutique brand and craft the company's identity through product design at the very beginning doesn't often come your way – especially in the lingerie industry. ”
Journelle said the upcoming private-label grouping fits with its plans to open novel stores and reach a much wider market. The retailer relaunched its website in October, after a multi-city pop-up tour to market northface and promote its new web presence.
The brand plans to debut the beginning collection later this year with curated capsule collections and eventually designer aide.
Journelle has stores in the New york city neighborhoods of Soho, Union Potager, Upper East Side and Sw3.
