But the 33-year-old, who works in just human resources, has taken 20 of them to display at the Transformers iPhone case 30th Loved-one's birthday Exhibition, which opens at the Formula Centre Singapore today.
The traveling showcase, which makes its third and thus final stop here after Malaysia and Macau, will run before March 1 .
Mr Tan, who will be one of the three Singaporean collectors supposed to share some of their most cherished figures from the hit toy franchise, statements: "I'm happy to be able to share a great passion with the public as well as companion collectors.

Indeed, the 3, 000 sq m exhibition is a fan's wish, with 7m-tall models, original bathtoys and rare collectibles spread across the grain eight zones. Special-edition merchandise, eg T-shirts, mobile phone cases and personalize mugs will be sold at a retail phase.
One of the zones is devoted to around 300 figures and fans' memorabilia, including Mr Tan's first-generation Citadel Maximus and Mp-04 Masterpiece Optimus Prime figures, which are highly wanted by collectors.
